Jim Sharton is in his 25th year as Director of Racquets. The Pine Brook racquets program has grown dramatically under his direction. In his 39 years of teaching and coaching experience, Jim has taught many of the top junior and adult players in New England. He was formerly the advanced junior coordinator at The Athletic Club at Weston, in Weston, Florida and head tennis professional at the Longfellow clubs in Wayland and Natick.  Jim also led the tennis programs as the head tennis professional at Bald Peak Colony Club in New Hampshire and Oyster Harbors Club on Cape Cod. Jim is originally from Newton, and as a junior was the top 18-year-old in New England. He was a 3 time Big Ten champion at the University of Michigan and 4 time "All Big Ten" selection. In 2000 he was named USPTA/New England Eastern Pro of the Year and a past president and board member of the Youth Tennis Foundation, a nonprofit organization which provided opportunities for children of all backgrounds and abilities to learn, play, enjoy and excel at the sports of tennis and pickleball. Jim lives in Natick with his wife Gretchen. He has two sons (Drew & Alec), one stepson (Theo), two stepdaughters (Chloe & Phoebe) and a dog (Daisy).
